Flannelette
Printed flannelettes are less expensive and not as long lasting as their flannel cousins. They are great for receiving blankets, crib and kid quilts, and utility quilts for everyone. Double napped flannelette is yarn-dyed (coloured and napped on both sides) and is usually in solid colours. Its the stuff cloth diapers used to be made from and some of those were still serving as dusting cloths when the kids who wore them graduated from high school! It is also great for faux chenille because it doesn't have a white side and blooms beautifully.
