This is a great way to try locker hooking. Tear or cut leftover fabric (it doesn't even have to be cotton) into strips and then use this cross between a crochet hook and a darning needle to attach it to a rug canvas. Easy enough for kids and elderly folks, and fast, fun, and useful for everyone. The result is a plush surface. The kit includes the locker hook, a piece of canvas, string, and instructions to make a pillow sized piece. If you like the result just get more string and canvas and move up to rug size.
